What types of sessions do you photograph?
I love finding unique beauty in every stage that life brings. Your story, however mundane you think it may be, is unique. With that being said, I capture anything and everything.
How long does the session itself usually take?
Mini sessions are typically 20-30 minutes and full sessions run 1-3 hours.
What do we do in case of inclement weather?
Nebraska weather can be unpredictable at times, and good weather is so important for a successful session. I may suggest to reschedule our session. This is something that is not negotiable. I just ask that you trust me as your photographer; I want your pictures to be as beautiful as possible.
What should I wear for my photos?
That depends on what type of session we decide on. A lot of the time, clothing can make or break a picture. After booking your session we will discuss clothing options together if you need help. Pictures that look best avoid all the same color. Wear pops of color and definitely use patterns, stripes, prints, etc.! Don’t be afraid of accessories and texture. Overall, wear something that you feel comfortable in and makes you feel totally stunning/handsome/gorgeous/rad! Be sure to check out my Pinterest boards for more ideas.
Planning a Wedding?
Check out my tips HERE. I'm here to help, so please, ask me anything! I am happy to assist you in your planning process.
When is the best time to take maternity pictures?
30-32 weeks is best. But, if 28 weeks rolls around and your baby is growing like a weed I can try to bump up your session date.
How are newborn sessions scheduled?
The best time to photograph newborns is within the first 10 days of life, for those sweet, sleepy, curled up poses. I recommend scheduling your newborn session during your pregnancy. I will pencil in your due date. Just give me a call, text, or e-mail when your little one arrives and we can finalize the date and time of your session. If you have already had your little one, that's okay too, I just cannot guarantee last minute availability.
Do you travel?
Yes, I love to travel! However, there may be a small fee for milage (50 cents/mile, round trip).
Where will the session take place?
I am a natural light photographer which means that the majority of the time I hold sessions outdoors. Newborn sessions are the exception and take place in my home studio, unless we decide otherwise. After we decide what type session you want, you and I will come up with the perfect location to fit your style. I do also offer Lifestyle Sessions which take place in your home.
Do you have a studio?
I do use my home for newborn through the first year sessions. Otherwise, outdoors is where it’s at.
How long does it take to receive my photos after the session?
Generally 4-6 weeks. Remember folks, I am a mother of three little boys and work full-time as a nurse! I promise to do my best to get things done in a timely fashion.
How will I get the images from my session?
When your images have been fully-edited, the entire collection will be uploaded to an online gallery through a company called PASS. You will then receive a url via e-mail where you can view, download, share and order prints on any computer, tablet, or smartphone device that has internet access. To share your images with family and friends you simply share your unique PASS url with them and they too can view, download, share and order prints of your images. PASS does allow password protection at your request. Your PASS gallery will be available online for 10 years. Professional lab quality prints can be ordered directly within your PASS gallery and basic shipping is always a flat rate of $5. The prints are reasonably priced, high-quality and most importantly, your images will have the correct color tones.
Will I own the images?
Sort of! You are able to download, print, make discs, and share the images from your session with friends and family. This is called a ‘Shared Printing Release’ and allows each client the perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free right and license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display in print, electronic or any other medium, copies of the photographs in whole. Autumn Waldman Photography retains the copyright of all original images. Please do not alter the images in any way.
Can I upload my photos to Facebook or other social media sites?
Yes, of course! Please give ‘Autumn Waldman Photography’ photo credit under each photo.
