Frequently asked questions
How do I book a session?
Begin by filling out the contact form. We’ll correspond via e-mail discussing details and to pay your deposit. I accept payment via PayPal, Venmo, cash or check. Once your deposit is received, you’ll officially be on my calendar. We’ll touch base before your session to finalize outfits, locations, and any additional questions you may have.
Where will the session take place?
The majority of the time I hold sessions outdoors. I absolutely love Nebraska fields, lakes, and any other ares that highlight our beautiful state. There are also some great urban options in both Lincoln and Omaha. Newborn sessions are the exception and take place in my home studio, unless we decide otherwise. After we decide what type session you want, you and I will come up with the perfect location to fit your style. I also offer Lifestyle Sessions which take place in your home.
What do we do in case of inclement weather?
Nebraska weather can be unpredictable at times, and good weather is so important for a successful session. I may suggest to reschedule our session. This is something that is not negotiable. I just ask that you trust me as your photographer. There may be an option to move indoors as well.
How many family members are included in a family session?
Family sessions include immediate family only. There is no limit on immediate family members, but if you’re wanting a lot of individual shots of each child, it may limit the variety of your gallery. I do occasionally offer extended family sessions; please e-mail me for pricing and details.
How are newborn sessions scheduled?
The best time to photograph newborns is within the first few weeks of life, for those sweet, sleepy, curled up poses. I recommend scheduling your newborn session during your pregnancy. I will pencil in your due date. Just give me a call, text, or e-mail when your little one arrives and we can finalize the date and time of your session. If you have already had your little one, that's okay too, I just cannot guarantee last minute availability.
Do you travel?
Yes, I love to travel! However, there may be a fee for milage (50 cents/mile, round trip) outside of Saunders County.
How long does it take to receive my photos after the session?
Generally 4-8 weeks. Remember folks, I am a mother of four little boys and work full-time as a nurse M-F. I promise to do my best to get things done in a timely fashion.
How will I get the images from my session?
When your images have been fully-edited, the entire collection will be uploaded to an online gallery through a company called PASS Plus. You will then receive a url via e-mail where you can view, download, share and order prints on any computer, tablet, or smartphone device that has internet access. To share your images with family and friends you simply share your unique PASS url with them and they too can view, download, share and order prints of your images. PASS does allow password protection at your request. Professional lab quality prints can be ordered directly within your gallery. The prints are reasonably priced, high-quality and most importantly, your images will have the correct color tones.
Will I own the images?
Sort of! You are able to download, print, make discs, and share the images from your session with friends and family. This is called a ‘Shared Printing Release’ and allows each client the perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free right and license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display in print, electronic or any other medium, copies of the photographs in whole. Autumn Waldman Photography retains the copyright of all original images. Please do not alter the images in any way.
Can I upload my photos to Facebook or other social media sites?
Yes, of course! Please give ‘Autumn Waldman Photography’ photo credit under each photo.
